Hua Hin, the royal summer residence at the Gulf of Siam, is since generations the preferred seabath of the Thai high society. Originally a fishermen village, Hua Hin offers besides long sandy beaches the life of typical small Thai city with temples, markets and a lot of other things from early till late. While other tourist destinations of Thailand are designed more for international tourists, Hua Hin is traditionally a destination for Thai and foreign tourists.In Hua Hin you are in a real Thai environment and not in an isolated tourist ghetto.
Located about 200 km south of Bangkok, is not only the oldest, but also the most exclusive seabath of Thailand. Hua Hin got a unique atmosphere like european seabathes at the Cote d'Azur or Riviera. The beaches of Hua Hin are very tidy and unpolluted, due to a very modern surage and waste managment. The quality of the sea water is strictly controlled by the city council and regular chemical monitoring guaranties best swimming and surfing conditions.
The public beach is about 8 km long and at low tide averagely 150 m wide.It is perfect for long beach walks and all kinds of beach activities.

Wind: The seabreeze starts at about 1 pm and goes on till sunset. The winddirection is side onshore. But days with wind above 20 knots are rare.

Our Kitesurfing school is located at Tung Wua Laen Beach This three kilometer long fine sandy beach is situated about 20 minutes from the city of Chumphon. Away from the crowded touristplaces you will discover a perfect place for a relaxing holiday and same time the best conditions to learn Kitesurfing safe and quickly.
The province of Chumphon is even in Thailand itsself wellknown for its great food. The restaurants by the beach serve original thai food specially seafood. Also good western style food is available.
Close by: In the next bay is a little village with a few shops, a Pharmacy and a Supermarket with a Cashflowmachine. Every sunday they have a market with lots of food, clothes etc.
Things to see: There are several buddhist monestaries, a Templecave and the old harbour of Chumphon that can be easily discovered on your own by motorbike or taxi.
City Chumphon: Again food is the thing. Two big markets and all kinds of restaurants are in the evening supported by dozens of foodstalls and offer the whole variety of the thaikitchen. A big shoppingmall and many smaller stores satisfy all shopping needs.
Nightlife: The bars along the beach offer drinks and food in tropical atmosphere. The biggest of them does Barbeques with Livemusic on weekends. Further there is a brandnew Nightclub in Chumphon open till late. On top of that you can join one of the famous Fullmoon-Partys on the nearby islands Koh Phangan and Koh Samui.
Short Trips: Within a two hour ride by rentalcar or public transfer you can reach the beaches at the indian ocean coastline of Thailand. Its a pleasure drive through rainforests and jungle. One possible destination there is the Laem Son Nationalpark with Mangrove forests, rare birds and wide beaches. Nearby uninhabited tropical islands can be visited for a day. A perfect place for snorkeling and fishing.

In the winterseason November till January the area of Chumphon got very reliable and steady winds. Exactly here the wind, coming across the gulf of siam, is boosted by the mountains along the coast. This situation results in the perfect Kitesurfing conditions you find at Tung Wua Laen Beach.
Tung Wua Laen Beach ( also called Cabana Beach) Our kitesurfing school and shop is based right in the center of this beautyful, about three kilometer long sandy beach. The wind is coming side onshore, which is the perfect angle for kiteboarding. There are no obstacles, waterbikes or any other vehicles in the water or on the beach. At both ends the beach is protected by little bays.
Teachingspot Pak Nang Tak Lagoon For teaching we also use a flatwater Lagoon, just a few minutes from our base. Some squarekilometers of shallow water, almost completly surrounded by land, is the safest place to learn Kiteboarding, you can find. There are no waves, so its perfect for the first attempts to get going on your kiteboard. Also your kiteinstructor is always very close to you and can give you hints and help. This teaching method leads you extremly fast to your personal kitesurfing success.
